"Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him: for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple." 1 Corinthians 3:16-17
This passage in 1 Corinthians is plural, collective-and it means the Body of Believers. This Body of Believers is us! We, Cedar Creek Baptist Church, are God's Temple, God's Temple is not a building but people. The Temple was a meeting place, a fellowship place, a blessing place, and a worship place. Therefore, part of being God's Temple means we are the recipients of a meeting between God and us. This means that as His Body we are a people of prayer, of fellowship; a people of worship. We are a people blessed by God who in turn seek to bless the world.
